This was an awesome post. If I can just add my 2 cents as well ... I think a visionary many times is not someone who sees themselves as a visionary. They are just people who have a vision for whatever it may be. Usually, they are people who are not caught in limitations. They are usually ones who reach beyond the boundaries of time and space because they can't even help themselves. Vision burns on the inside of them and they just have to act. Unfortunately (and I see it with my own children), we have been "brainwashed" NOT to be individuals as we grow up. I would go so far as to say that the whole "kids have to where uniforms" (I know it may sound ridiculous), stunts creativity. Society (if I can use that word loosely) is so determined to force everyone into a box of their own making, that the sacrifice is individuality and creativity. Let's hope the next generation rising has some guts to rise above it all. :D
